Haywire Ranch String Band

Cory and Jill Webster of the Haywire Ranch String Band
Cory and Jill Webster of the Haywire Ranch String Band invite listeners to imagine a pioneer “radio” show. Visit the 1800s through a musical broadcast that might have been heard along the pioneer trails– if a radio had been available. Enjoy folk songs, dance tunes, news, weather and traffic reports from the Mormon Trail, and, of course, sponsors’ advertisements. Learn more about the Haywire Ranch String Band

Sofisticats (formerly known as Cymry)

Sofisticats Band
Coming to the Festival for the first time, comprised of Jaz Fagen on rhythm guitar and lead vocals and Mike Fagan on lead guitar. They have been performing together since 2,003 when they helped form a classic rock and blues band based out of Boise. They have performed all over Idaho and really love the wonderful people they have met through the years. Jaz’s family came from Cowbridge, Vale of Glamorgan, Wales in the 1880’s to the town of Malad, Idaho. Her great-grandmother, Louise Davis, was born in Malad on August 20, 1882. Her grandmother has always instilled in her a love of their families music and the Welsh language and people. They currently perform Welsh folk songs, some sung in Welsh as well as other Celtic songs and popular songs from the 60’s and 70’s as well as originals from their 2015 album “The Celtic Collection and Other Stories.” They also have, or will soon have, a new album called “Dragonfly”.

Katie Jane Band

Katie Jane Band
Appearing at the Festival for the first time–Katie Jane Band, a high energy AmeriCeltic band from Portland, Oregon. Between performing concerts all over the west coast they played at the Seattle Highland Games in 2018. The Katie Jane Band is all about spreading the joy of Celtic music to their listeners. The talented duo has a fiery energy that is only rivaled by their unmistakable on-stage chemistry. Not only do these talented musicians perform original arrangements of high-speed AmeriCeltic fiddle tunes and heartwarming original songs, but their dynamic performance gets toes tapping and dancers dancing in every venue they attend. Katie Jane is exploding with pure joy while she plays, and her sweet dulcet voice could melt an ice cap. Alongside her is Adam’s multi-instrumental accompaniment whose unique rhythmic melodies blend to create a perfectly balanced musical counterpart. The Katie Jane Band brings to life the Celtic melodies that remind us of home, with a fiery twist that ignites the fires of a deepened love for fiddle music.
